I spend WAY to much time messing around with Youtube (watching videos, making videos, reading comments, writing comments, etc.) Doing this has taught me MUCH about how Youtube functions (culturally not technically.)
I currently have: 1,207,905 video views (all of my videos.)
My most viewed video at: 619,653
And 2,908 subscribers (getting an average of about 15 a day I think.)
Now a video view isn't the same as a page view. A view on a Youtube video doesn't count unless it is viewed from start to finish. That's worth a lot more than just you're average page view.
Anyhow, I'm JUST as interested as any of you are at figuring out how to use Youtube (and other forms of "new media") to... build brands, market a product, find new customers, increase pimp game, etc.
Post questions here (or take me out to lunch :D .) I'll share as much as I know. Something I'll be doing soon is making a video reviewing a service
(gamefly.) I'm setup as an affiliate so I'll get paid for new people that sign up. Basically I'll direct people to a website that will have more information about the service and my affiliate links in hopes that they will click them and sign up (after viewing the video.)
I also plan on this video ranking pretty high on Google... We'll see (it's all for the sake of science :) .)
