help - communication in the workplace

Ok, how do you help someone understand that they should not be yelling and patronizing a co-worker and if a diffucult message must be delivered it should be done in private? I've tried talking with this individual and it doesn't help. Anyone have other suggestions or a book that I can leave on their desk? by the way this is a manager.

Thanks, consider this my first and hopefully only rant. I just can't think of anything to do.

Option #1
Well have you talked directly to this person about this? If so, and they continue, you may have to ask for help up the chain if there is any. Usually, talking directly to this person should help, if not they do have a problem and if you can't get it resolved directly or through managements help, then you may have to tell management you're moving on.

Option #2
Let this person know that you think he/she rocks. They may need the stroking as they may be insecure.

Ignore it and hope for the best.

Involves body bags.
